Fewer Dropped Calls
Most people measure the performance of their Network Operator by the number of dropped calls they suffer and for many, this daily annoyance leads to a search for the most reliable mobile network.
For the Network Operator, the challenge is that the information received from the network doesn’t necessarily correlate with the actual experience of users. For example, when you move through an area where there is no service, their network monitoring tools don’t know. Nor do they know when your phone can not complete a call because the network is too busy. Add-in the complexities of 2G, 3G and 4G hand-off and the ability to actually understand what you experience is further compromised.
By delivering diagnostic information from the mobile device the Network Operator gets to know where calls drop and importantly, why they occur. This information can then be used to increase coverage, adjust radio towers or add capacity.
